Aloha! This is Cruise writing on behalf of Brittany and myself, and as The Compass Couple, we would like to welcome you to our inaugural blog post. We’re very excited to start sharing tips, tricks, and stories from our collected wanderings and adventures with you on this blog regularly. This won’t really be a blog with “expert advice” or “pro-tips”. We’re not necessarily experts (except maybe in Harry Potter trivia), but we have a passion for experiencing the world around us and we make up for our inexperience, with an eagerness and enthusiasm that, so far, has never let us down.
Brittany and I have been toying with the idea for “The Compass Couple” for a few years now, but have only recently felt comfortable enough to share our experiences in this way. And that is what our main focus will always be here, experiences. Unfortunately, so many people move through their day-to-day lives with little to no variation and you’ll come to find that for Brittany and myself, that’s not just unacceptable, but actually impossible. Just one year ago we shook things up the most by moving from New Jersey to California without a plan, but with our heads full of ideas and big dreams.
That move was probably the single most important thing we had accomplished together as a couple and it has led into a myriad of adventures big and small. Now that we’re settled out here, we make it a point to get out and experience everything we can near and far. From theme parks to campsites, on the West Coast or around the world, we are immersing ourselves in it all and we want to bring you along for the ride. I hope we can impart even just a small amount of knowledge to you based on our early experiences and travels and I’m certain it won’t end there. As we learn and do more together, I know we can learn and grow with you as well, and that’s probably the greatest experience of them all.
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."
